MAD COW AND GEORGE

Well this week had just about come to an end and I must say that so far it's gone pretty well. I had my second genetics test on Wednesday and it went great! We already got our marks back so I know I did well (our teacher is really fast with marking >> he's way too happy about genetics). I also got back my biometrics preproposal back and I did suprisingly well even though I was convinced my data set sucked (I thick our T.A. just likes to give away marks). Tonight we had a murder mystery meeting with our new Juan >> our old one had some sort of stress attack and dropped out. The new Juan is amazing though! He's an actual drama student so he's great at acting. I think the murder mystery is going to go well... at least I hope anyway...

So everyone thinks I have mad cow. Apparently I have all the symptoms >> Lara wrote about it in her dead journal. So if anyone wants to read it just click on the skeletal monkey link. I must admit though, I do possess wuite a few of those symptoms.

We got a new pet. His name is George. He's an expired *cough* best before March 8th milk bag. He's quite cute and he's currently living on our kitchen table. If anyone wants to see a picture of him just go to my yahoo pictures. The link should now be posted on my blog.

And on a final note...HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISTINA!!!!!!

VIOLENT ILLNESS

OK so now I'm really slacking with this blog. In my own defence though I've had a ton of work due for my classes >> mostly assignments. For the next couple weeks I'm gonna have pretty much no time to do anything. Plus the murder mystery is on the 30th, though I'm not too worried about it. Things are coming along really nicely.

This past Monday the most horrible thing happened to me. The day had gone quite nicely until 11:30pm. I was working on the murder mystery script and I suddenly started to get these stabbing pains in my lower abdomen. Thinking they would go away I got up and walked around. But they only got worse and started to spread upward. Suddenly I started to feel really hot an nauseous so I ran to the washroom and just started throwing up. I was in so much pain I thought I was going to pass out. It was really scary, I was sweating and shaking and the pain wouldn't go away even after I threw up. I stay in the washroom for a half hour and finally the pain started to diminish. I spent the rest of the night crunched up the in fetal position. I have no idea what happened. I have a few guesses though. That night I ate a late dinner of chicken (shake and bake), roasted potatos, and a big glass of chocolate milk >> plus 2 cookies for dessert. I thinking it was either some kind of food poisoning (possibly from the chicken or something I ate days before), or some kind of lactose reaction (my mom had the same thing happen to her when she was my age >> before she found out she was lactose intolerant). I'm hoping it was just some kind of food poisoning cuz a large portion of my diet is dairy. Anyway, I went o heath services today (I made an appointment after the "incident"), basically the doctor couldn't tell me anything. She just said that it may have been a lactose reaction or it could have been bad food. So I guess I'll never know for sure.

I took a hell test the other day and it told me I'd be spending eternity in the 6th circle of hell (The city of Dis) >> there are only 9 circles and 9 is the worse. I didn't think I was that horrible a person. Oh wait I know what it was!! There were a ton of questions about believing in God bla bla bla... no wonder I scored so low hehehe. Oh I'm sooo gonna burn in hell... If anyone wants to take the test click HERE!!!

LULL BEFORE THE STORM

This week doesn't look like it will be a very stressfull one. All I have is one assignment due on Friday. Of course, that one assignment may kill me but hey I'm not complaining. It's a biometrics proposal for the project we intend on doing. The only problem is that I have no idea what I'm going to do for my project. We need a data set but I still don't have one, hehehe. I've been looking around on the internet and on the library's web site but I just can't find any good sets *tear*.

This whole week there is a residence amazing race going on. It started sunday night and will end this sunday at 10pm. The first 3 teams to arrive at the finish line get prizes but even if you don't win you still get 40 rez points for completing the race. Basically it works like the t.v. show. You get clues that you have to solve to find the next one and for some of them you have to complete tasks. So far we've gotten six clues and it's only been going on for one day. It's been pretty fun though. Rachel and I are one team and Christie, Lara and Stacey are on another. You can have a maximum of 3 people on a team but if you do, two people have to be at every checkpoint, as apposed to one for the teams of two. Apparently there's going to be a "city chase" in Toronto this summer. It's apparently like the amazing race but is just aroun Toronto for 6 hours. The top team gets to go to a national city chase, which will be in some unknown location. Sounds like it should be fun...

Maximus's baptism was yesterday. Boy it was such a long day. The mass was completely in Italian so I only understood a few words here and there but the baptism part was in English so that was ok. After all the religious stuff was done we went to Alta Rosa's for a lunch/dinner. Everything was decorated in blue with an ocean theme; it was quite nice. The meal was really long.......... The antipasto was just bad. I had no idea what 90% of the things were so I just didn't take one but the rest of the meal was ok. We had pasta (one in a red sause >> a thick noodle like pasta, and one in a rose sause agnelotti) Then we got all kinds of meat, salade, fish and finally dessert. I didn't leave until 7pm and it still wasn't over but I had to get back to rez.

Our next murder mystery meeting is a 5:30pm today. Christie and I finished writing the script last night and I must say Juan's adventures in the Andes are quite funny. Anyway since this is getting long I'll end this entry. I will, however, try to make a greater effort to write more frequently since I've been slacking so much lately.

PROCRASTINATING & DON'T REALLY FEEL LIKE WRITING

Well, I haven't been writing much lately but I just haven't been in the mood to and I'm really not in the mood now either but I figure I should write something cuz my last post was a week ago. I really should be studying (I have a biometrics test on friday) but I'm not in the mood for that either. My eye has been twitching for over a week now and I think it's contageous cuz Rachel's eye started twitching now too. It's really annoying and is starting to bother me a lot. Everytime I try to read or study it kicks into full gear. I can't take it anymore!! I just wish it would go away. Now before everyone starts to think I'm crazy, let me note here that when my eye twitches you can't actually see it, but I sure as hell can feel it. It's kinda like feeling a strong pulse in your eye.

Last night a whole bunch of fire trucks came into our little court. One of the guys houses adjacent to us cought on fire or something. We think they probably burned something in the kitchen but no one really knows for sure yet.

We had another murder mystery meeting tonight. There are only four more weeks untill the event. It's coming along nicely. We finally met our main character tonight. He's playing Juan Valdez a Columbian coffee importer (or so it seems hehehe). The guy who's gonna play him kinda looks like Justin Timberlake except with brown hair. I must admit though he is kinda cute.

Tomorrow I have an interview with the Toronto Police Marine Unit for an internship position. I'm really scared, I have no idea what they're gonna ask me. I just hope it goes well and I'm not too nervous. Regardless of how it goes I at least get a tour, so that should be fun. I just have to tell myself that it doesn't matter (that's what Donald Trump does to manage stress >> he said it on Larry King Live last week >> It was the first time I had ever watched the show). Anyway I think that's enough procrastination for now. Back to the books...
